Star Wars going 3D!
Now I can say with no ego that I am a tried and true Star Wars fan. Not to the extent of camping out for tickets but I know my fair share of Star Wars knowledge. The ENTIRE series is going to be rereleased in 3d and Im not quite sure how to feel about this. While Avatar was visually amazing Star Wars could easily rendered with 3D visuals and create some really nice eye candy, but is it really necessary? Do they REALLY need to be rereleased? Does every major movie release now have to be in 3d? I liked it just fine before, and I don't think that seeing the series in 3D is going to change my love for Star Wars. What do you guys think? Greedo shot first by the way.

oh wow! This is going to be awesome! It's going to take a lot of time and money though!
ReplyDeleteWow im sure it would be awsome :D
ReplyDeletehan shot first!! i swear to god don't make me come over there! lol
ReplyDeleteHAN SHOT FIRST YOU SICK BASTARD! :-P
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, I'm pretty stoked about the idea of 3D. But really... do we REALLY need to RERELEASE Star Wars AGAIN!?!?
Cawlin's Twitter!
I don't like it, completely unnecessary. They already made the movies they should just let them be. 3D imax tickets cost a shit ton also.
ReplyDeleteit would be an interesting experience :D
ReplyDeleteIt will be nice as long as they don't do anything like THE THIRD RING.
ReplyDeleteJar Jar Binks in 3D!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete3d could be really awesome to watch, and make the series amazing to those who are already fans. But I think any potential "new" fans would not understand what the point of the movies are beyond the basic sci-fi action movie plot. So I am kinda torn on it too.
ReplyDeletei'm on the fence about how this will turn out. but i'll probably still buy it. lol
ReplyDeleteI will also complain about ANOTHER RELEASE?
ReplyDeleteStill though...
I would have to see it in 3D. I'd be stupid not to, I don't care if they rape my wallet.
This will blow Avatar out of the water
ReplyDeleteSurely they ruined Star Wars enough by replacing Dark Vader with Hayden Christensen in the 6th movie...
ReplyDeleteThey have ruining star wars enough without make 3d versions of it. Greedy Lucas Arts!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll wait for it to come out on 3d blu ray, so then I'll just download that shit
ReplyDeleteWhy rerelease it; it's sorta like tacking a ribbon onto a kite. Sure it might look nice and appease certain audiences, but why not make something new with all the time and money instead of redoing the past. We need to move forward and show that we can better implement these technologies on more modern films. That and I don't like this 3D fad that's going around. Its great to see it in a theatre, but when I'm at home and watching it, it seems so awkward when scenes are forced into the audience.
ReplyDeletevery interesting hope to see more soon :D
ReplyDelete3D movies are killing the industry
ReplyDeleteLOOOVE Star Wars, cant wait for these
ReplyDeletebunch of 3d movies coming out as of late... last one i saw was toy story 8) good post!
ReplyDeleteIm not sure how i feel about this. They've already milked this series for all its worth from ALL merchandising stand points. It might turn out good, but how far can they really go?
